On the weekend, Team Al Hackner, captured the Silver medal at the 2019 Canadian Masters Championships representing Northern Ontario.
Team Northern Ontario finished their pool play with a record of 4-2 which advanced them into the championship pool. They went 3-1 in the championship pool to finish 3rd with a 7-3 record. In the semi-final, they faced Saskatchewan who they had conceded to previously in the event. They had complete control of the game from start to finish, defeating them 7-3 and advancing to the gold medal game! After a tough battle with a strong Alberta team, they ended up with the silver medal. Overall, a fantastic week for this team! We, and all of Northern Ontario, are very proud of their performance!
