For the golfing members, the Club has a fully equipped Pro Shop. Practice facilities include a driving range and putting green as well as areas to practice the short game and sand shots. Pull carts, club storage, club cleaning and unlimited use of the practice facilities are included in the golf fee. Electric carts are available for rent through the Pro Shop. Group and individual lessons are also available through the Pro Shop.
Golf memberships run from November 1 to October 31. Tuesday is Ladies Day with times blocked off from 1:30pm to 5:30pm to provide tee access for both Ladies and the Business Girls. Wednesday from 12 to 7 are set aside for Men's Night. The Junior Program is very active and priority is given to children and grandchildren of current golfing members. Golfing members will be assigned a locker for their exclusive use during the golf season. Should a golfing member wish to retain his/her locker in the 'off season', arrangements can be made through the Club Office.
Each season, the Club hosts very successful Club Events including the Men's Invitational, the Senior Men's Invitational, Ladies Open, Mixed Open and Junior tournaments. These events are very popular, and members who wish to participate in them are encouraged to enter early to avoid disappointment.
The Idylwylde also hosts a limited number of outside and charity tournaments. These events are scheduled on Thursdays whenever possible. Thursdays are also available for small member generated events which can be scheduled through the Club Captain.
Golfing members may invite guests to play at any time. Green fees and the number of guests allowed per group varies from prime to non-prime times. The number of times any one guest may play is limited to five games whether nine or eighteen holes. Information about green fees and playing times is available at the Club Office and at the Pro Shop.
