The Idylwylde boasts one of the most modern curling facilities in Northern Ontario. Five sheets of ice are available to members throughout the season which runs from the beginning of October to early April. The Club has hosted and continues to host many prestigious events and regularly sends representatives to provincial and national championships.
Members may choose from a wide variety of curling leagues and activities including men's curling, ladies' curling, mixed curling, junior curling and little rock curling. New for 2007/2008 is the Monday Evening Competitive League, from 8 to 10pm. Squad Pensioner Curling is Mondays at 11am and 1pm; Pensioner Curling is Wednesdays at 9am, 11am and 1pm; Business Women curl Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6pm; Men's Curling is on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:45pm and 9pm; Afternoon Ladies curl on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1pm; Friday Night Mixed draws are at 6:45pm and 9pm; Saturday Evening Mixed is at 7pm.
Adult curling members are provided with a locker for their use during the curling season and have access to all of the locker room facilities, including showers and saunas.
CURLING SEASON 2008 - 2009
The schedule and calendar for the next season is currently being prepared and updated. In keeping with the success from last year, one day/night memberships are also available.
The individual leagues are currently working on preparing their own individual websites. As these are prepared, links will be posted on the left side of this page.
